Use the matching Keldrin 0.9.72 app and Service. Website downloads remain unavailable, and website registration is currently invitation-only.
The sanitized screenshots below show the desktop Feedback settings. The Local Web demo shows only the Local Web interface; account linking and diagnostic submission are not Local Web controls.
Before you start
You need your own Keldrin.ca account with a verified email and participation approval, and a matching Keldrin app and Service. If your account is awaiting moderator-assisted review, finish that approval first. Linking is a Keldrin desktop app feature—not a Local Web or Remote Portal control—and it never gives the website control over your game servers.
1. Start linking in the Keldrin app
Open Feedback — Keldrin.ca account in the Keldrin app. Choose Link Keldrin.ca. Keldrin creates a separate installation key and displays a one-time code and key fingerprint. It does not open a browser automatically: visit keldrin.ca/feedback/link yourself to enter the code.
The code contains ten characters displayed as XXXXX-XXXXX and expires after ten minutes. Copy code copies just the code. The browser address never contains the code or installation credentials. Keep this Keldrin app panel open while you complete the browser steps.
Keldrin protects its separate installation key and credential for the current Windows user. Moving to a different Windows account requires a fresh link; do not copy protected enrollment files between users.
2. Sign in and review the code in your browser
Sign in to the website account you want to link. Complete email verification or participation approval if prompted. An existing signed-in session needs no extra password check. Your website password is never entered into or stored by the Keldrin app.
Under Link an installation, enter the code from your Keldrin app screen and choose Review pairing. Looking up a code does not approve it or earn a checkmark.
3. Compare the fingerprint, then approve
The browser’s Check the fingerprint. page and your Keldrin app panel must show the same 12-character key fingerprint. Also check that the browser names the account you intend to use. If they do not match, choose Decline pairing and start again.
If everything matches, select I started this pairing and the fingerprint matches my Keldrin app screen., then choose Approve this pairing. Only approve a code you started in your own app; never approve an unexpected code sent by someone else.
4. Let Keldrin finish its confirmation
Return to Keldrin. It checks for browser approval about every five seconds, then proves that it holds the separate installation key. The short-lived signing challenge expires after two minutes; the Keldrin app can obtain another while the ten-minute pairing remains valid. Browser approval alone is not a completed link.
Once confirmation succeeds, Keldrin app shows Linked: followed by your display name. Your website account can now show the green Verified Linked Keldrin user checkmark while it remains verified, approved, not suspended and linked to at least one unrevoked installation. You can have up to three active installations per account. An approved pairing temporarily reserves a slot until it finishes or expires. Extra installations never create extra votes.
5. Optional usage sharing starts off
Share opt-in usage observations is OFF by default, even after linking. The checkmark does not require usage sharing or a recent heartbeat. To enable observations, turn the slide toggle ON and explicitly confirm the consent dialog. Keldrin app normally sends a signed heartbeat about every 15 minutes. Expand Details below the slider for the usage explanation and 90-day observed total. Under the linking section, Last successful usage heartbeat is green when within the last 30 minutes and white otherwise. No heartbeat is expected while sharing is OFF; it is not proof of link freshness.
Allowed linking and usage data are the random installation identity, its public key, app version, consent and server-observed timestamps with bounded daily usage totals. No host names, hardware IDs, game or player names, worlds, paths, passwords, Discord credentials or logs are automatically uploaded. Diagnostic submission requires a separate local preview and explicit approval for each upload; usage sharing does not authorize it.
The displayed time is server-observed usage for the last 90 UTC calendar days, not lifetime runtime. The first observation earns no time; later observations count only short intervals the server actually observes. A gap longer than 30 minutes earns no interval credit. Long gaps and offline time are not backfilled, and overlapping installations do not multiply your account’s time. Visiting a status page does not manufacture a usage heartbeat.
Turn sharing OFF to stop observations locally immediately, including while offline. If the website is unreachable, Keldrin app may show a pending remote opt-out and retry only that opt-out; it does not queue usage to send later. Going offline or letting Windows sleep does not revoke an otherwise valid account link.
Disconnect, revoke or delete
- Disconnect and revoke asks the website to revoke this installation, then clears its local enrollment on success. Your website account and votes remain. If the request fails, remote revocation is not confirmed.
- To revoke from the website, visit your Keldrin links, select the confirmation checkbox for the installation, and choose Revoke Keldrin installation link. You can also reach these controls through Manage Keldrin links on your website profile.
- Normal account controls no longer show local forgetting. If Link recovery — local credentials appears after a link problem, Remove local link credentials… only clears this Windows user’s credentials and stops local sharing. It does not revoke the website link. Retry disconnecting or revoke the old installation on the website before removing local credentials and relinking, especially after changing Windows accounts.
- Delete your account removes the account and its links, usage records, votes and feedback from the active website. Private SQL backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days; Host has its own backup retention. During restricted testing, deletion does not reopen your one-use signup slot.
If linking does not finish
- For an unavailable or expired code, start a new pairing in the Keldrin app; do not reuse an old browser review.
- If the three-link limit is reached, revoke an unused installation before trying again.
- If Keldrin app reports that its matching Service or protected enrollment is unavailable, do not assume it is linked. Restore the matching app and Service, or revoke the old installation on the website before creating a fresh link.
- If Keldrin app shows a cached link as unavailable after an authorization failure, that warning persists across restart until the website confirms an authorized response. Do not treat cached account details as a confirmed live link.
- If a link has been revoked or the account is no longer eligible, its checkmark and authenticated Keldrin app requests stop being accepted. Email verification alone cannot restore a revoked installation.
- A slow or unavailable website does not stop server controls, lifecycle actions or backups. Linking is independent of those operations.
Visit Requests and bug reports or Vote for the next game in your browser. Keldrin’s Privacy and retention button opens the privacy policy. Read it before choosing to share usage or logs.
Try it without changing anything
The interactive demo uses the current Local Web interface with dummy servers. Every result is simulated; it transfers no files and changes no real systems.
